Privacy Policy
This Privacy Notice for Twisted Pine Cattle Co LLC (doing business as maiGrex) ("we," "us," or "our"), describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your personal information when you use our services ("Services"), including when you:
- Visit our website at https://www.maigrex.com, or any website of ours that links to this Privacy Notice
- Download and use our mobile application (maiGrex), or any other application of ours that links to this Privacy Notice
- Use maiGrex. maiGrex is a record-keeping and documentation app for cattle producers, operated by Twisted Pine Cattle Co LLC. It lets you capture, organize, and transfer records about your animals — including photos, voice notes that are transcribed to text on your device, ear tag numbers, physical descriptors, lineage, and observations — and, if you choose to enable it, tag those records with your precise location to power features such as the herd migration map. maiGrex is a tool for keeping your own records: it does not detect, diagnose, or treat any illness or condition, and it does not provide veterinary or health advice.
- Engage with us in other related ways, including any marketing or events
Questions or concerns? Reading this Privacy Notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. We are responsible for making decisions about how your personal information is processed. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have any questions or concerns, please contact us at privacy@maigrex.com.
SUMMARY OF KEY POINTS
This summary provides key points from our Privacy Notice, but you can find out more details about any of these topics by using the table of contents below to find the section you are looking for.
What personal information do we process? When you visit, use, or navigate our Services, we may process personal information depending on how you interact with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the features you use. Learn more in WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Do we process any sensitive personal information? Yes, one thing. For maiGrex, sensitive information means your precise geolocation, which we collect only with your opt-in consent. We collect voice recordings only if you turn on accuracy checking, and we do not use them to identify anyone or extract a voiceprint from them, so they are not biometric information.
Do we collect any information from third parties? Yes, in two narrow ways. When another producer transfers an animal to you, we receive that animal's records from their account. And Stripe, which processes card payments for paid plans, tells us whether a payment succeeded. We do not buy personal information, and we do not obtain it from data brokers or advertising networks.
How do we process your information? We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We never sell your information, and we do not share it with advertising networks or use it to target ads to you on other platforms. We may use your contact details to tell you about maiGrex itself, and you can opt out of that at any time.
In what situations and with which parties do we share personal information? We share information only with the service providers that help us run maiGrex, and — when you choose to transfer an animal — with the producer you transfer it to. We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
Do we offer AI-based products? Yes. maiGrex uses AI to transcribe your voice notes (on your device) and to suggest keywords and attributes. This processing is first-party — we run it on infrastructure we control and do not send your data to any third-party AI service. If you do not turn on accuracy checking, your recordings never reach us: transcription happens on your device, only the transcript is sent to us, and the recording is deleted from your phone.
How do we keep your information safe? We use technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption of your information in transit and at rest and access controls. We do not store your password. No system can be guaranteed secure. See Section 7.
What are your rights? Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information.
How do you exercise your rights? The easiest way is by visiting maigrex.com/contact, or by emailing us at privacy@maigrex.com.

DEFINED TERMS
In this Privacy Notice:
- "maiGrex," "we," "us," or "our" refers to Twisted Pine Cattle Co LLC (doing business as maiGrex), the entity responsible for the collection, use, and processing of the personal information described in this document.
- "Services" refers to the maiGrex mobile application, the maiGrex web account portal, and our website at https://www.maigrex.com, together with any other application or website of ours that links to this Privacy Notice.
- "Personal Information" refers to any information that identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to you. "Process" means to access, collect, store, use, share, or otherwise handle personal information.
- "Producer," "you," or "user" refers to the person or organization that creates an account and uses the Services.
- "Your Content" (or "records") refers to the photos, voice recordings, transcripts, notes, ear tag numbers, attributes, lineage, and observations you enter into the Services about your animals.
- "Observation" refers to a record you create about an animal, which may include one or more photos, the transcript of a voice note, attributes, and, if you enable it, a location. The voice recording behind a transcript is sent to us and stored on our systems only if you turn on accuracy checking. See Section 5.
- "Transfer" refers to moving an animal's records from your account to another producer's account, as described in Section 3.
- "Sensitive Information" refers to categories we treat as sensitive. For maiGrex, this means your precise geolocation. We collect precise location only with your opt-in consent. We collect voice recordings only if you turn on accuracy checking, and we do not use them to identify anyone and do not extract a voiceprint from them, so they are not biometric information. See Sections 4A and 5.
- "Payment processor" refers to the third party that processes card payments for paid plans on our web account portal. Stripe is our payment processor today. maiGrex, not the payment processor, is the seller of your plan. If we change payment providers, we will update this notice before the change takes effect.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you disclose to us
We collect Personal Information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information we collect may include the following:
- names
- email addresses
- email address, which is how you sign in
- contact preferences
- organization or ranch name
- photos of animals
- animal records (ear tags, attributes, lineage, observations, notes)
Voice recordings. When you record a voice note, transcription runs on your device. Only the transcript is sent to us and saved with the observation. The recording itself stays on your phone and is deleted from your device as soon as you save the observation, unless you turn on accuracy checking in Settings → Data. If you turn that on, a copy of the recording is also sent to us. Section 5 explains what we do with it and how long we keep it.
Sensitive Information. One category. We collect precise location only with your opt-in consent:
- precise geolocation (see Section 4A)
Payment data. maiGrex is the seller of your plan. Stripe, our payment processor, handles the card transaction. Your card details go directly to Stripe and we never receive or store them. Stripe tells us whether a payment succeeded or failed, and your plan, your subscription status and your renewal dates are held by Stripe, where we look them up to run your account. The maiGrex mobile app contains no in-app purchases. Stripe's privacy policy is at https://stripe.com/privacy.
Application Data. If you use our application(s), we may collect the following if you grant access or permission:
- Geolocation Information. We may request access to track precise location-based information from your device while you use the app, to provide location-based features. You can change our access in your device's settings.
- Mobile Device Access. We may request access to your device's camera, microphone, and photo library. You can change our access in your device's settings.
- Mobile Device Data. We collect device information such as device model, operating system, version and configuration information, device and application identification numbers, IP address, and mobile carrier.
- Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications about your account or app features. You can opt out in your device's settings.
Information automatically collected
We automatically collect certain information when you use the Services, including log and usage data (IP address, device/browser characteristics, activity in the Services, and error/crash reports) and device data. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services and for our internal analytics and reporting, which we perform on our own systems (see Section 5).
Where we get your information. Most of what we hold comes directly from you. We also receive an animal's records from another producer when they transfer that animal to you, and we receive payment outcomes from our payment processor. We do not obtain personal information from data brokers, advertising networks, marketing agencies, or any other outside source.
2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, including:
- To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts.
- To deliver and facilitate delivery of services — including syncing your records, transcribing and analyzing your observations, and providing the herd migration map and analytics.
- To respond to user inquiries and offer support.
- To send administrative and transactional information — such as email verification, password resets, and transfer notifications — and push notifications.
- To tell you about maiGrex features, updates, and offers. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time. Opting out does not stop transactional messages such as email verification, password resets, and transfer notifications, which are part of the Service.
- To enable transfers of records between producers.
- To protect our Services, including fraud monitoring and prevention.
- To keep the Services working and to troubleshoot problems, using log and diagnostic data.
- To understand in aggregate how the Services are used, so we can decide what to build and improve, using combined de-identified information. See Section 5A.
- To use your identifiable records to build features specific to your herd, but only if you turn on that choice in Settings → Data. See Section 5A.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We never sell your information, and we do not share it with advertising networks or use it to target ads to you on other platforms. We may use your contact details to tell you about maiGrex itself, and you can opt out of that at any time. Where a use depends on your consent — precise location, audio-accuracy retention, or use of your identifiable records — we process only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings.
3. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Service providers. We share information with the vendors that help us run maiGrex, under contracts that limit them to processing it on our behalf:
| Provider | What it does | What it handles |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Media storage (R2), DNS, domain | Photos, and voice recordings only from users who turn on accuracy checking |
| Stytch | Account sign-in and authentication | Your email address and your password. Your password is held by Stytch and never stored by us. |
| Backblaze | Off-site backup of our database and our media store | A dump file of our database, which contains your account and herd records, and backup copies of your photos and of voice recordings from users who turn on accuracy checking |
| Neon | Database hosting | All of your account and herd records |
| Railway | Application hosting | Data in transit through our servers |
| Google Firebase (FCM) | Push notifications | Push tokens, device info, notification content |
| Sentry | Crash / error monitoring | Diagnostic data, limited device info |
| Resend | Transactional email | Email address, message content |
| Google Maps (Android) / Apple Maps (iOS) | In-app maps, drawn by your device's own mapping component | The coordinates needed to draw the map view, which is centered on the location in your record |
| Stripe | Card payment processing for paid plans (web portal) | Your card details, which go directly to Stripe and are never held by us. maiGrex is the seller of your plan. |
Maps. What we store is the latitude and longitude you attach to an observation. To draw a map we use the mapping component built into your device, which is Apple Maps on an iPhone and Google Maps on an Android phone. That component sends Apple or Google the coordinates it needs to draw the view you are looking at, and that view is centered on the location in your record. We do not send your records, your account, or anything else about you to either of them. Your use of Google Maps features is also subject to the Google Maps and Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy, and your use of Apple Maps is subject to Apple's terms and privacy policy. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings.
Transfers between producers (other users). maiGrex lets you transfer an animal's records from your account to another producer's account. A transfer carries only the animal's photos (with location metadata removed), an approximate (coarsened) location, and the animal's structured attributes and history. It does not carry your voice recordings, the transcripts or free-text notes of your voice memos, or your precise location — these stay with you. Transferred records are marked as recorded by the previous owner and become part of the receiving producer's herd history. maiGrex has no public feed, public profile, or public posting of your information.
Other people in your recordings and notes. Your voice notes and free-text notes may capture other people, for example ranch hands, family members, or buyers. We store that content as part of your records and process it on your behalf. You are responsible for obtaining any consent that recording law requires in the places where you operate, and for telling the people you record that you are doing so. If someone believes their personal information appears in a producer's records and wants it addressed, they can write to privacy@maigrex.com.
Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with a merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business. Anyone who acquires it takes it subject to this notice. If they ever want to use your information in a way this notice does not allow, you will be told before that happens and you will have the choices described in Section 10.
Legal and safety. We may share information to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of any person.
4. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
We may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain the security of our Services and your account, prevent crashes, fix bugs, save your preferences, and support basic functions. The maiGrex mobile app uses no advertising cookies and no ad tracking, and we do not use tracking technologies for advertising or to build advertising profiles. Our website uses only strictly necessary (essential) cookies — such as those that keep you signed in and maintain your session — and does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Specific information is set out in our Cookie Notice at maigrex.com/cookies.
4A. Sensitive information — precise location
Precise geolocation is treated as sensitive data under applicable law, including in Texas. We collect it only to tie an observation to where it happened and to power features such as the herd migration map, and only after you grant your device's location permission and give opt-in consent in the app. Precise location is never on by default. We restrict access to precise coordinates and never sell them. Precise coordinates you attach to an observation are stored with that observation in our database, hosted by Neon. They are not stored with our media provider, are not included in the photo metadata we serve or transfer, and are not sent to our crash-monitoring or email providers. Our backup provider holds a dump file of that database, and so of those coordinates, under a contract that limits it to storing it on our behalf. When the app draws a map, your device's mapping component sends Apple or Google the coordinates it needs to draw that view, as described in Section 3. You may withdraw consent at any time in Settings; future observations will then be saved without precise coordinates.
5. DO WE OFFER ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED PRODUCTS?
maiGrex uses AI to transcribe your voice notes and to analyze the resulting text to suggest keywords and attributes. This processing is first-party: transcription runs on your device, and the text analysis runs on infrastructure we control using models we host ourselves. We do not send your voice recordings or transcripts to any third-party AI or transcription provider.
Checking transcription accuracy (optional, off by default). Transcription runs on your device, and normally your recording never leaves your phone. If you turn this on, a copy of each recording is also sent to us so we can check that the transcription was accurate, including how well it performs across different speech patterns and regional accents.
When on, your audio is used only to measure accuracy. It is not used to train any model, is never sold, and is processed only on systems we control. Any accuracy findings we keep are first de-identified so they no longer identify you, your ranch, or your animals. We delete each recording ninety (90) days after we receive it, or sooner if you ask. If you turn this setting off, we stop receiving new recordings and delete the ones we already hold within thirty (30) days. Deletion on those timelines removes the recording from our active systems, and backup copies clear within ninety (90) days of deletion.
If you do not turn this on. Your recordings never reach us. Transcription happens entirely on your device, only the transcript is sent to us, and the recording is deleted from your phone as soon as you save the observation.
No voice identification. We do not use voice recordings to identify anyone. We do not extract, derive, or store a voiceprint or any other biometric identifier from them, and we do not perform speaker recognition or voice matching of any kind. If that ever changes, we will tell you and obtain your consent before it does.
Recordings on your phone. Until a recording is deleted from your device it is a file on your phone like any other. If your phone backs up to iCloud, Google, or another service, that backup may include it. Those backups are controlled by you and your device maker. We have no access to them and cannot delete anything from them.
Automated outputs are suggestions. maiGrex's automated outputs are not reviewed by a person, are not guaranteed to be accurate, and are suggestions you review and confirm — they are not decisions about you and are not veterinary or health advice.
Automated decisions. maiGrex's automated outputs are suggestions about your animals that you review and confirm. We do not use automated processing to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects, such as decisions about credit, lending, insurance, housing, employment, education, health care, or access to basic necessities. If that ever changes, we will update this notice and provide the opt-out that applicable law requires.
Model training. We do not send your voice recordings or transcripts to any third-party AI or transcription provider, and we do not use your personal data to train large language models. Where you have turned on aggregated, de-identified improvement in Settings → Data, we may use combined de-identified data to improve the models we host ourselves.
How to opt out. Voice transcription runs on your device. Keeping recordings to check accuracy, and using your records to improve maiGrex, are optional and off by default — you can turn them on or off anytime in Settings → Data. Turning them off stops that processing going forward.
5A. Improving maiGrex — your choices
Combined, de-identified information. We may use your records to understand how the Services are used, to decide what to build, and to develop and improve the features and models that make up the Services, but only after combining them with other producers' records and removing what identifies you, your ranch, or your animals. We do not use identifiable records for this. We do not set out here how we do that work, and our methods will develop as the Services do. The commitment at the end of this section is the standard they are held to.
Your choice: use of your identifiable records. We will use your records in a form still linked to your account, to build features specific to your herd, only if you turn this on. It is off until you do, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Data. Turning it off, or deleting your account, stops that processing going forward. Data already combined into de-identified, aggregated form cannot always be individually withdrawn.
Our commitment on de-identified data. Where we say data is de-identified, we mean it cannot reasonably be used to infer information about, or be linked to, you, your ranch, or your animals, and we take reasonable measures to keep it that way. We publicly commit to maintain and use de-identified data only in de-identified form and not to attempt to re-identify it, except solely to test whether our own de-identification process is working. If we ever provide de-identified data to anyone outside maiGrex, we will contractually require them to do the same. We do not currently provide de-identified data to anyone outside maiGrex.
6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this notice, unless a longer period is required by law. Observation records are not permanent. Here is how long we keep each kind of information.
Observations. We keep the observations you record for as long as you have an account. Individual observations cannot be deleted one at a time, because a herd history depends on entries not disappearing from it. If an entry is wrong you can add a correction and the record will show both. Deleting your account removes them on the schedule below. This matches Section 6 of our Terms of Service.
Voice recordings. If you have not turned on accuracy checking, your recordings never reach us. If you have, we delete each recording ninety (90) days after we receive it, or sooner if you ask, and backup copies clear within ninety (90) days of that deletion. If you turn the setting off, we delete the recordings we already hold within thirty (30) days.
Your account. You do not have to ask us and you do not have to wait. When you delete your account we close it straight away, remove your personal data from our active systems within thirty (30) days, and clear our routine backups within ninety (90) days. Anything we keep after that, because the law requires it, because there is an open claim, or to prevent repeated abuse of the Services, is limited to that purpose and deleted when the reason no longer applies. Where we are keeping it only to prevent repeated abuse of the Services, we delete it after twelve (12) months at the latest. Section 9 explains this.
Records you have transferred. These stay with the receiving producer as their herd history, and deleting your account does not remove them. Section 9 explains what a transferred record contains and what it does not.
Records of your choices. When you accept our Terms of Service or this notice, or turn one of the options above on or off, we record that you did it, which version you were shown, and when. We keep those records after you delete your account, because they are how we can show what you agreed to if it is ever questioned. They contain no observations, photos, recordings, or notes about your animals. We keep them for two (2) years and one (1) day after your account closes, which matches the period in which a claim could be brought under Section 18 of our Terms of Service, and then we delete them.
Log and diagnostic data. We keep log, usage, and crash data for no more than ninety (90) days, and often less, because some of our providers clear it sooner.
Billing information. Your plan, your subscription status, and your payment history are held by Stripe, our payment processor, and we look them up there. In our own systems we keep the link to your Stripe record for as long as you have an account, and we keep the accounting records we need for tax purposes for four (4) years after your account closes. That is one of the few things we keep longer than the periods above, and we keep it only for that purpose.
When we no longer have a legitimate need to process information, we delete or de-identify it, or isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
7. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information, including encryption of your information in transit and at rest, access controls, and restricted handling of sensitive location data. No card data is stored on our own systems; payments are handled by Stripe. Your password is created and held by Stytch, our identity provider, rather than by maiGrex, so no passwords are stored on our own systems either. However, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never defeat our security.
If there is a security incident. If we determine that a security incident has exposed your personal information, we will notify you without unreasonable delay and no later than sixty (60) days after we determine the incident occurred, and sooner where the law of your state requires it. If the incident involves your sign-in credentials, whether at maiGrex or at our identity provider, we will tell you promptly to change your password and will describe the steps you should take to protect your account.
8. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
The Services are intended for business use by adults 18 and older. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18. If we learn that personal information from users under 18 has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable steps to promptly delete such data. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from a child under 18, please contact us at privacy@maigrex.com.
9. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
Withdrawing your consent. Where we rely on your consent — precise location, audio retention, or use of your identifiable records — you may withdraw it at any time in Settings → Data or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before its withdrawal.
Account Information. If you would like to review or change your account information or terminate your account, you can:
- Log in to your account settings and update your user account.
- Contact us using the contact information provided.
- Delete your account anytime in the app (Settings) or on the maiGrex website.
Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. After you close your account we may keep a limited set of information where the law requires it, where there is an open legal claim or dispute, where we need it to prevent repeated abuse of the Services, or to show what you agreed to and when. Anything kept for those reasons is limited to what is necessary for that purpose, is not used for anything else, and is deleted when the reason no longer applies. Where we are keeping it only to prevent repeated abuse of the Services, we delete it after twelve (12) months at the latest. The one exception is the record of your choices described in Section 6, which we keep for the period stated there. Erasure of your underlying records is handled by written request to privacy@maigrex.com.
Records you transferred to another producer stay with that producer as their herd history, and deleting your account does not remove them. Those records carry a marker showing that the earlier entries were recorded by the previous owner. We do not describe them as de-identified, because that marker is an attribution to you. A transfer never carries your voice recordings, your raw transcripts, your free-text notes, or your precise location, and it carries no contact information or account identifier of yours beyond that marker. On request we will replace that marker with a pseudonym, so the record still shows that the earlier entries came from a single previous owner but no longer identifies you. We do not remove the marker entirely, because it is part of the receiving producer's herd history. A pseudonymized marker is not anonymous, and we do not describe it that way.
If you have questions about your privacy rights, email us at privacy@maigrex.com.
10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. No uniform technology standard for recognizing DNT signals has been finalized, so we do not currently respond to them. Because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, there is no such activity for a DNT signal to control.
11. DO UNITED STATES RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?
Whether you have the rights described below, and exactly which ones, depends on the state you live in. Several states have comprehensive privacy laws, and more take effect each year. We extend the rights in this section to all of our users regardless of where they live.

How long we keep each category is described in Section 6.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for targeted advertising, in any category. If that ever changes, we will update this notice and tell you before the change takes effect, as described in Section 12.
Separately from that, we do disclose personal information to our service providers for business purposes, so they can host, store, secure, and support the Services on our behalf. Those providers and what each of them handles are listed in Section 3. They are contractually limited to processing information on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.
Your Rights
You may have the right to: know whether we process your personal data; access, correct, or delete it; obtain a copy of it; and opt out of processing for targeted advertising, sale, or profiling with legal effect. We do none of those last three.
How to exercise your rights. Visit maigrex.com/contact or email privacy@maigrex.com.
How we handle your request. We will acknowledge your request and respond within forty-five (45) days. If your request is complex, or you have made several, we may take up to forty-five (45) more days to respond, and we will tell you why within the first forty-five (45) days. That extra time is for us to answer you, not to act. Once we act on a request by deleting information, that information leaves our active systems within thirty (30) days and our routine backups within ninety (90) days. Those are the same windows we use everywhere else in this notice.
Verifying you. Before we act on a request about your personal information, we need to be reasonably sure it is you. We will normally verify by asking you to send the request from the email address on your account, or by asking you to confirm details we already hold. We will not ask for more information than we need, and we will use whatever you give us for verification only.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. We may ask the agent for written proof of authority and may ask you to confirm directly that you authorized it.
Appeals. If we decline a request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@maigrex.com with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond in writing within sixty (60) days and explain our reasons. If we deny the appeal, we will tell you how to submit a complaint to the attorney general of your state.
No charge and no penalty. We do not charge for these requests, and we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality of service because you made one.
California "Shine the Light" Law. California residents may request information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.
12. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?
Yes. We will update this notice as necessary and post it with a revised Last updated date and a version number. We keep prior versions at maigrex.com/privacy/archive so you can see what applied at any given time.

A. The maigrex.com website and its two forms
Why this section exists. The notice above covers the maiGrex app and your account. This section covers the two forms on this website, which anyone can use today whether or not they ever have an account.
The Founding Herd form, on /join
Collects your name, your phone number, the size range of your herd, and your email address if you choose to give it. Email is optional; the rest is required for the form to submit.
We use it to hold your spot, to contact you by text, phone, or email about that spot and about the app opening, and to know roughly how many head the first users run. We do not add you to a newsletter and there is no drip campaign.
The contact and data request form, on /contact
Collects your name, your email address, your ranch or organization name if you choose to give it, the kind of request you are making, and whatever you write in the message box. We use it to answer you and to keep a record that we did.
Added automatically when you submit either form
The date and time of the submission and your IP address are included in the email that reaches us. We use them to tell duplicate submissions apart and to deal with abuse of the forms. Our hosting provider also keeps ordinary web server logs for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies on this website
Reading maigrex.com sets no cookies. Submitting either form sets a single session cookie so the server can tell that the same browser is not sending the form over and over. It holds no information about you and it is gone when you close your browser. It is strictly necessary for the form to work. See our Cookie Notice.
How long we keep form submissions
- Founding Herd signups. Until the app opens to the public and you have either taken up your spot or told us you are no longer interested. Ask us to remove you sooner and we will, without keeping a copy.
- Contact and data requests. Twenty four months, so we can show what was asked and what we did about it, then deleted.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider's standard retention, which is typically weeks rather than months.
What this website does not do
There are no accounts on the website itself. No analytics of any kind, no advertising, no retargeting, no cross site tracking, no third party scripts and no third party fonts. Nothing on this site is sold or shared for advertising, and nothing you send through these forms is used to train any model.
Requests about anything on this page go to privacy@maigrex.com or through the form on /contact. Your rights, how we verify you, and our response times are set out in the sections above and apply here too.
