Delete your account
You can close your maiGrex account at any time. You do not need to call anyone or explain why.
Two ways to do it
In the app. Open Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. Confirm when asked.
On the website. Sign in to your maiGrex account, open Account Settings, then Delete Account.
No longer have the app? Use the form on our contact page and choose "Delete my account", or email privacy@maigrex.com from the address on the account. We verify your identity before acting.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign in credentials
- Your name, email, and contact details
- Your organization or ranch profile
- Your voice recordings, if you turned on transcription accuracy checking
- Your precise location data
- Your animal records that you have not transferred to another producer
What does not get deleted, and why
Records you transferred to another producer stay with them. When you sell an animal and transfer its record, that record becomes part of the buyer's herd history. It is theirs now, and we cannot take it back from them. The transferred copy is the animal's record, not your personal information: it never included your voice recordings, your notes, or your precise location.
Permanent animal records are de-identified rather than erased. Observations are immutable by design, which is what makes a record worth something to a buyer. When you delete your account, these are stripped of anything identifying you or your ranch.
Some information is kept where the law requires it, for fraud prevention, to resolve disputes, or to meet a legal obligation. Backups age out on normal rotation rather than being erased instantly.
Erasing your records is a separate request
Deleting your account closes the account. If you also want your underlying records erased, say so: use the contact page and choose "Erase my records", or write to privacy@maigrex.com.
Timing
Account deletion takes effect right away. We respond to erasure requests within 45 days, and we will tell you if we need up to 45 more.
