Every plan is the whole app. What changes is how many head you keep records on, not which features you get. Nothing is held back to sell you the next plan up. Billing happens here on the website, not through the app stores, so there is no app store markup on top.
The first 100 herds use maiGrex free all the way through the beta, then pay half price on whatever plan they are on, for as long as they keep the account. If the herd grows and the plan changes, the half stays.

Straight answers
Is it really free under ten head?
Yes, and not as a trial. If you run ten head or fewer you can use maiGrex without paying us anything and without giving us a card. You get the same app everyone else gets.
What counts as a head?
An animal with its own record. A calf still on its mother is part of her record, not a separate one, until you keep it back and give it a record of its own.
What is actually different between the plans?
Two things. How many head you can keep records on, and how many people can be in the account. That is the whole list. The app itself is identical on every plan, including Free.
Can I transfer an animal to a buyer on the free plan?
Yes. Transfers are in every plan. A record that only moves if you are paying is not much of a record, and the buyer receiving it never pays anything either.
What happens when the herd grows past a plan?
We tell you before anything changes. Nothing stops working and nothing is charged without notice from us first.
What does a Founding Herd actually pay?
Nothing during the beta. At launch, half of whatever plan fits your herd, for as long as you keep the account. On Herd that is $12.50 a month billed annually, or $17.50 month to month. On Ranch it is $29.50 a month billed annually, or $39.50 month to month. Grow into a bigger plan and the half comes with you.
Why is billing on the website instead of in the app?
Because the app stores take a cut of anything sold inside an app, and that cut ends up in the price. Handling it here keeps it out. It is the same reason there is no upgrade button in the app.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from your account. Your records stay yours: you can export them, and anything you already transferred to a buyer stays with that buyer.
Who handles the payment?
You buy your plan from us. Stripe processes the card payment, so your card details go straight to Stripe and we never see or store them. Where sales tax applies we collect and remit it. Questions about a charge, a cancellation, or a refund come to us.
Prices are in US dollars and apply to accounts in the United States. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.
